My Vision for the Future of the Alabama Democratic Party

Throughout my work with the Democratic National Committee, the Alabama Democratic Party Executive Committee, and the Alabama Young Democrats, I have had the privilege of meeting and building relationships with passionate Democrats across every corner of our state. But this work is about more than connections—it’s about effective leadership. It’s about building a better, stronger Alabama for all her residents. It’s about getting back to basics and focusing on what truly matters: empowering communities, fighting for justice, and delivering results.

The strength of the Alabama Democratic Party lies in its local organizations. You are the ones on the front lines every day, addressing the challenges facing your neighbors. It’s in your communities that Republican attacks on health care, education, and personal freedoms have the most devastating impact. But it’s also in your communities where we have the greatest opportunity to fight back—by building trust, fostering dialogue, and mobilizing voters.

It’s time for the Alabama Democratic Party to reinvest in its local organizations. We need to provide resources, training, and support to empower grassroots groups to organize, engage, and turn out voters. The path to victory requires us to leave no stone unturned—building broad coalitions, reaching disenfranchised voters, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

I’ve seen what it takes to win, and I know how to get the job done.

• As a DNC Member, I have prioritized transparency and communication with party members, ensuring that Alabama’s voice is heard on the national stage.

• As President of the Alabama Young Democrats, I spearheaded the 67 County Strategy, hosting events in every county to engage voters and rebuild trust in the Democratic Party.

• In my role with the City of Birmingham, I lead initiatives that empower residents to become advocates for their communities, championing civic engagement and equity.

• As President of Central Alabama Pride, I’ve fought tirelessly for LGBTQ+ equality, organizing inclusive events and standing against discrimination.

The road ahead won’t be easy, but I believe in the resilience and determination of Alabama Democrats. Together, we can rebuild trust, strengthen our local organizations, and create a party that truly reflects the values and needs of all Alabamians.
